All about collaboration

This summer, the wonderful Once Upon a Time bookstore in Montrose is doing a seven-week writing program for kids. Every week, a different author or author team presents a topic. So we talked about working with a writing partner.James Iver Mattson and Barbara Brauner at Once Upon a Time We had the kids do two collaboration writing exercises. In the first, they each wrote two sentences after seeing only one of the previous sentences. The result was really fun.Once Upon a Time 1b And for the second exercise, they worked together writing a story about what would have happened if Lacey, the main character of the OMG series, worked at Once Upon a Time. They discussed how the plot would work, and then quickly wrote a story. Once Upon a time 2c smallerWe loved how the story turned out!
